Grade/Age Eligibility Chart for the 2025-2026 School Year

To qualify for admission to PK3, a child must turn three by September 30 of the academic year in which they start school. Additionally, pre-kindergarten students must be fully toilet trained. Prior to an admission decision, pre-kindergarten applicants will be assessed to determine their readiness.
 

How We Determine Your Child's Applying Grade Level at Graded

We base your child's applying grade level based on their current school's calendar.

• If their current school year is like ours (August to June): They will apply for the next grade up. For example: If your child finishes Grade 5 in the U.S. in June 2025, they'd apply for Grade 6 at Graded for the 2025-2026 school year.
• If their current school year is different (e.g., Australia, Brazil, Japan, South Africa, South Korea): They will stay in the same grade when they join Graded. For example: A child starting grade 5 in Japan in April of 2025 would apply for Grade 5 at Graded for the 2025-2026 school year as they would not have yet completed grade 5 by August of 2025. Another example: A child who is enrolled in grade 7 in Korea in December of 2025 would apply for grade 7 for January 2026 as they will not yet have completed grade 7 in Korea.
