Grade/Age Eligibility for the 2027-2028
School Year

We look forward to welcoming our youngest learners! To join PK3 for the 2027-28 school year, children must turn three by September 30, 2027. We ask that all applicants be fully toilet-trained to support their independence in the classroom. Prior to admission, our team will conduct a readiness assessment to learn more about your child’s unique developmental stage and social-emotional growth.

Grade Placement and the Global Calendar

At Graded, our goal is to ensure a smooth and successful transition for every student. Grade placement is determined based on a student’s previous educational experience, including whether they have successfully completed the grade level immediately preceding enrollment. Because educational systems and academic calendars vary around the world, placement decisions are made on an individual basis, taking into account each student’s academic history, previous school calendar, age, and overall readiness to ensure the most appropriate placement and a successful transition to Graded.

Students Transitioning from Northern Hemisphere Schools (August–June Calendar)
Students transferring from schools that follow an August–June academic calendar—such as those in the United States, Europe, and many international schools worldwide—typically advance directly to the next grade level at Graded.

Example: A student who successfully completes Grade 5 in June 2027 at a U.S. school would be eligible to enroll in Grade 6 at Graded beginning in August 2027.

Students Transitioning from Southern Hemisphere or Alternative Academic Calendars
Students transferring from schools that follow a different academic calendar—such as those in Brazil, South Korea, Japan, or Australia—generally continue in their current grade level when joining Graded. This approach helps ensure continuity of learning and allows students to complete the full curriculum for that grade level.

Example: A student who begins Grade 7 in South Korea in March 2027 will have completed only one semester of Grade 7 by August 2027. To ensure full mastery of the curriculum and a successful academic transition, the student would typically enroll in Grade 7 at Graded in August 2027 and complete the grade level before advancing.
