Grade/Age Eligibility for the 2026-2027
School Year

We look forward to welcoming our youngest learners! To join PK3 for the 2026-27 school year, children must turn three by September 30, 2026. We ask that all applicants be fully toilet trained to support their independence in the classroom. Prior to admission, our team will conduct a readiness assessment to learn more about your child’s unique developmental stage and social-emotional growth.

Grade Placement & The Global Calendar

At Graded, our primary goal is to ensure a seamless transition for every student.  To determine the correct grade, we look at whether a student has fully completed a grade level before joining us.

Northern Hemisphere Schedule (August–June start)
If your child is coming from a school that follows an August–June calendar (e.g., in the US, Europe, or many international schools), they will transition directly to the next grade level.

Example: A student who successfully completes grade 5 in the US in June 2026 will be eligible for grade 6 at Graded for the August 2026 start.

Southern Hemisphere & Alternative Schedules (January–April start)
If your child follows a different calendar (e.g., Brazil, South Korea, Japan, or Australia), they will continue in their current grade level when joining Graded. This ensures they do not miss the foundational second half of their current curriculum.

Example (Brazil/Korea): A student who begins grade 7 in South Korea in March 2026 will have completed only one semester by our August start. To ensure continuity of learning and full mastery of the 7th-grade curriculum, the student would join grade 7 at Graded in August 2026 (to complete the full year) or in January 2027 (to complete the second semester).
