Grade/Age Eligibility Chart for the 2025-2026 School Year

To qualify for admission to K3, a child must turn three by September 30 of the academic year in which they start school. Additionally, pre-primary students must be fully toilet trained. Prior to an admission decision, pre-primary applicants will be assessed to determine their readiness for the pre-primary program.

Students coming from schools with a similar academic year calendar to Graded should apply to the subsequent grade level they are currently completing (e.g. candidates completing grade 5 in the United States in June 2025 should apply to grade 6 for the 2025-2026 school year). Students coming from schools where the academic calendar does not align with Graded’s August-June school year calendar (e.g., South Africa, Australia, South Korea) will remain in the same grade upon entering Graded. For example, a student who completes grade 4 in Australia and transfers midway through Graded’s academic year will finish Graded’s school year in grade 4 before advancing to grade 5 for the 2025-2026 school year that begins August 2025. Similarly, students starting grade 5 in South Korea in March 2025 should apply to grade 5 at Graded for the 2025-2026 school year.
