Lower School Curriculum

Graded’s Lower School is a vibrant community where curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning thrive. In our mixed-age, Montessori-based Pre-Kindergarten classrooms, children build confidence and independence through self-directed exploration. Kindergarten serves as a bridge between early childhood and the elementary years, preparing students for the new challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

In Grades 1–5, dedicated faculty empower students to take ownership of their learning, think critically, and reflect on their progress. Students strengthen foundational skills in literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies while also engaging in art, music, design and innovation, Portuguese, and physical education. Social-emotional learning is intentionally woven throughout the curriculum, supporting students’ academic growth, personal development, and overall well-being.
