Library Expectations
The library is a safe place to learn, discover, explore, imagine, investigate, locate and access information, collaborate, browse magazines, and read for pleasure. To ensure that the library meets the needs of ALL patrons, please adhere to the following expectations:
- Students and parents are welcome to visit the library before and after school to return books and check out materials.
- While in the library, talk quietly and walk. Students wishing to socialize and run around should take advantage of the playground.
- The treehouse is available to a maximum of 10 students at a time.
- Students are expected to listen to and follow instructions from all members of the library staff.
- Using technology (iPads) in the library is for browsing the catalog and library resources and should not be altered.
- Students are permitted to play board games and LEGOs before and after school as well as during assigned recess times. Students are expected to organize the games and put them away after use.
- Ensure that books don't get misplaced in the library. If you do not know where a book belongs, please leave it at the circulation desk, in the circle or with one of the library staff.
- Eat and drink outside of the library. Water is allowed.
- We want the fabulous library to be in wonderful condition for years to come. Please keep the library neat while respecting the space and furniture.
- Students who do not comply with the above expectations may lose the privilege of using the library and will be asked to go to the playground.
