Classroom Without Walls

Graded's upper school Classroom Without Walls (CWW) trips are four- to five-day journeys that take students beyond the confines of traditional classrooms. Designed to complement traditional instruction, CWW trips focus on experiential learning, a key component in developing the "whole child" and unlocking student potential.

On CWW, students forge positive relationships, build trust, and develop collaboration skills by facing challenges and working with classmates and teachers in new environments. These experiences enable students to develop perseverance, empathy, self-awareness, and independence.

CWW trips are also a unique lens through which students learn about Brazil, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for its rich cultural heritage, complex history, and diverse ecosystems.

After our trip to Paraty, I'm more interested in meeting local communities and connecting with them on a personal level. I love learning about their life experiences, and this is what I always look forward to on CWW trips. - Grade 11 student

I loved repelling on the Adventure Course. I'm actually scared of heights, and I was terrified of doing it. However, when I started to descend, I felt so light. It was incredible. - Grade 6 student
