Superintendent Richard Boerner Inducted into the AAIE Hall of Fame

Superintendent Richard Boerner has been inducted into the Association for the Advancement of International Education's (AAIE) 2025 Hall of Fame. This prestigious award recognizes individuals who have significantly contributed to international education for 10 or more years and demonstrate visionary leadership, wisdom, and integrity.
With two decades in international education, Rich has led schools in South Korea, Bangladesh, and Brazil. He has served as board president of the American International Schools in the Americas (AMISA) and the Association of American Schools in Brazil (AASB), as well as board secretary of the Academy of International School Heads (AISH). His leadership has been recognized with the 2022 AMISA International Education Leadership Award and the 2023 AAIE Dr. Keith Miller International Innovation Leadership Award.
At an award presentation during the AAIE Global Conference in Washington, DC, on February 7, AAIE Board Member Barry Dequanne praised Mr. Boerner's impact on the international school community. "Rich has dedicated himself to supporting international school leaders worldwide… and helping others raise the bar on educational excellence," Mr. Dequanne stated. "In other words, he's not transforming schools only; he's busy mentoring people who are. His legacy, bold leadership, relentless innovation, and deep commitment to students and educators will continue to shape international education for years to come.”
This recognition celebrates Mr. Boerner’s global accomplishments while honoring his impact on the Graded community, where his leadership inspires excellence and innovation.
