Graded Students Welcome Shades of Yale

Graded was delighted to welcome Shades of Yale, an undergraduate a cappella group from Yale University, to spend a day on campus. Founded in 1988, Shades of Yale has performed for notable people, including Nelson Mandela and Barack Obama.

The group led a vocal workshop for members of Graded’s Junior Choir, teaching our enthusiastic students new skills and techniques. Shades also put on two performances, sharing music of the African Diaspora and African-American tradition with the Graded community.
