Deeper Learning in Action: IB Economics

Three years ago, Graded embraced deeper learning, which has elevated critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, communication, and problem-solving. Graded faculty have integrated six learning principles—prior knowledge and experience, agency, collaboration, mastery as process, transfer and authenticity, and conceptional organization of learning—into their teaching practices.

High school students actively applied Graded's Learning Principles in an IB Economics class, where they discussed topics like common pool resources, market structure, and the Tragedy of the Commons and worked collaboratively with peers to share ideas and explain concepts learned in the course.
