Graded students recently had the pleasure of welcoming acclaimed Brazilian film producer Rodrigo Teixeira to campus. During his time with the students, Rodrigo generously shared fascinating insights from his impressive international career in the film industry.
In a special interview and Q&A session, Rodrigo discussed his personal journey into the world of film production, offering students a behind-the-scenes look at filmmaking.
Teixeira is renowned for producing a diverse range of critically acclaimed films, including the popular Brazilian productions "Tim Maia" and "Alemão," as well as the Oscar-winning "Call Me By Your Name," starring Timothée Chalamet, and the Cannes Film Festival winner "A Vida Invisível" (The Invisible Life of Eurídice Gusmão).
Most recently, he celebrated an Academy Award win for Best International Film with Walter Salles' powerful "Ainda Estou Aqui" ("I'm Still Here"), featuring Fernanda Torres, who recently won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Drama Film. His extensive production credits also include Robert Eggers' atmospheric films "The Witch" and "The Lighthouse," James Gray's epic "Ad Astra," starring Brad Pitt, the coming-of-age story "Armageddon Time," and Noah Baumbach's "Frances Ha," starring Greta Gerwig.
