Graded Students Explore History, Culture, and Sustainability on Classroom Without Walls Trips Across Brazil

Graded's 9th-11th graders recently returned from their Classroom Without Walls (CWW) trips, where they ventured beyond Graded's walls to explore diverse landscapes, deepen their understanding of Brazilian history, culture, and key sustainability concepts, strengthen bonds with classmates and teachers, and learn to overcome challenges. This year’s trips took students to Bonito, Paraty & Mamanguá, and Lençóis Maranhenses, offering immersive learning opportunities while fostering teamwork and resilience.

  • Grade 9 traveled to Paraty & Mamanguá, where they examined sustainable development and its social and environmental implications through activities like kayaking and historical site visits.
  • Grade 10 ventured to Bonito, one of Brazil’s top ecotourism destinations. There, they snorkeled, trekked, and explored caves while learning about conservation efforts.
  • Grade 11 explored Lençóis Maranhenses, where they studied biodiversity and sustainable resource use by visiting local communities and breathtaking natural wonders.

These hands-on experiences allowed students to connect classroom concepts with real-world applications, deepening their understanding of the environment, history, and culture.
