Graded Reels Celebrates Student Filmmaking and Storytelling

Graded Reels brought the community together to celebrate the creativity, collaboration, and talent behind original student productions. Inspired by the Academy Awards, the event recognized the filmmakers, performers, editors, and storytellers who transformed their ideas into compelling music videos and short films.

Throughout the semester, Middle School students collaborated to produce original music videos inspired by existing songs, while High School students wrote, filmed, and edited their own short films. Graded Reels marked the first public screening of these productions, giving students the opportunity to share their work with classmates, families, faculty, and staff.

Awards honored excellence in categories including performance, cinematography, editing, storytelling, and best film. Audience members also cast live votes to select Graded's Favorite, making the community part of the celebration.

From developing scripts and filming scenes to editing and acting, students demonstrated creativity, technical skill, and teamwork throughout the filmmaking process.
