Graded Hosts World-Renowned Primatologist Dr. Jane Goodall

Graded had the incredible honor of hosting world-renowned primatologist and anthropologist Dr. Jane Goodall on October 31. Speaking to an auditorium overflowing with upper school students and teachers (some dressed as Dr. Goodall for Halloween!), she shared her incredible journey that began when she traveled from England in 1960 at age 26, before obtaining a college degree and PhD, to what is present-day Tanzania.

From her pioneering role as the "world's foremost expert on chimpanzees" to passionate climate activist, Dr. Goodall detailed the challenges she confronted head-on and the barriers she broke as a woman in the field. Today, she is still traveling the world, delivering her message: We still have time to save the earth.

Her talk was a beacon of hope, rallying the community to join forces to protect our planet and inspiring many of our students to pursue science. Dr. Goodall’s visit was a profound reminder that each one of us wields the power to make a positive impact on our environment.
