Graded Community Celebrates Earth Week Through Sustainability and Action

Students, faculty, staff, and families came together for Earth Week at Graded, participating in hands-on learning experiences that encouraged environmental awareness, sustainability, and community engagement across all divisions.

Throughout the week, students explored a wide range of topics and activities. Lower School Green Club members planted seeds, pre-K students shared their discoveries about the plant life cycle, and grade 4 students reimagined what a more sustainable school could look like. Middle School Portuguese as an Additional Language (PAL) students encouraged the community to reflect on how everyday choices impact the environment, while classmates led a week-long Food Waste Reduction Challenge.

Community members also participated in a kokedama workshop, giving rescued orchids a second life, and the week concluded with interactive exhibitions by Design and Modeling students showcasing solutions inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Earth Week reflected Graded's commitment to empowering students to become responsible global citizens.
