Graded Celebrates Thanksgiving With Community, Gratitude, and Fun

The PTA's Thanksgiving celebration brought families together for a day filled with gratitude, delicious food, engaging games, student art, Thanksgiving crafts, and a bustling bazaar. Performances by the Graded Choir—including a faculty and staff choir—added warmth to the festivities, while student groups like Green Club invited families to sponsor trees and learn more about sustainability on campus.

Families cheered each other on at the Turkey Trot and relay races, students were excited to spot their own artwork in the event decorations, and kids and adults competed to see who could waste the least amount of food. While students won the Food Waste Reduction Challenge when it premiered at last year’s Thanksgiving event, this year the adults took the victory!

New this year, instead of playing games for individual prizes, participants earned tokens to vote to "Give Back to Graded." Each vote helped determine which area of our community would receive something special to enhance their space or experience. The winning community prize was an assortment of new recess balls for our students!
