Message from the Superintendent
Dear Graded Community,
Every so often, you step into a school and immediately sense something special; Graded is one of those rare places. Nestled on a lush 65,000-square-meter campus, the school is alive with energy, grounded in purpose, and home to a vibrant international community.
It is truly an honor to join this exceptional centennial learning community as the new superintendent. I have long admired Graded’s reputation for academic excellence, its commitment to student success, and its inclusive spirit. From its nurturing Montessori-based Early Years Program to an academically rigorous International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program, Graded offers a world-class PK-12 education that fosters curiosity, character, and a lifelong love of learning. Now that I’m here, I can already feel how deeply those values are woven into everyday life.
What strikes me most about Graded is its genuine sense of community. With students representing 46 nationalities, supported by dedicated and inspiring educators, Graded fosters an environment in which diversity is celebrated and every student is known and valued.
Learning at Graded is both a shared and deeply personal experience. Students are empowered to learn and lead with curiosity, creativity, and kindness. Whether through the arts, athletics, academics, or service, they discover opportunities to grow in ways that are joyful, meaningful, and enduring. By the time they graduate, they are exceptionally well prepared not only to thrive at the world’s leading colleges and universities but also to make a positive impact wherever their paths lead.
I’ve always believed that learning is most powerful when it’s rooted in connection, and at Graded, that connection is everywhere—among students and teachers, families and staff, alumni and the broader São Paulo community.
I’m thrilled to partner with all of you as we build on everything that makes Graded so special. This website offers a comprehensive introduction, but the true spirit of Graded is best experienced on campus. So if you’re in São Paulo, I hope you'll visit; we’d be delighted to welcome you!
Kind regards,
Jane McGee
Superintendent
