Start Up Stay Up
Start Up Stay Up (SUSU) is the student strand of Graded’s Innovate 2017.
SUSU began at the Innovate 2015 and was an amazing experience for all involved. Watch our SUSU mini-documentary to see what happened!
In a "Start-Up Boot Camp" model, students come together for an intense 48 hours. They design and pitch social entrepreneurship projects to a panel of venture capitalists.
International school high school student conference participants (grades 9-12) can register, individually or in small groups, with an idea for a social startup business that addresses a community need. Students will learn from executives in Brazilian social entrepreneurship and work with mentors to develop their own start-ups. Each student will finish with a detailed business plan.
The cost of the SUSU conference is R$688 per student. Graded students receive a 50% discount. Students must be accompanied by a faculty advisor. Students and advisors must stay on Graded’s campus Thursday and Friday night. All participants will need to bring a sleeping bag or bedding, as well as a pillow to spend the night. Meals and refreshments are all included in the registration fee.
