Student Support Services, Optimal Learning Services, English Language Services, Counseling Services, and Health Services at Graded are provided to assist students in reaching their full developmental and academic potential and to develop self-advocacy in all students to help them become confident, autonomous learners. The individual needs and learning styles of each student are considered while acknowledging that children learn at different rates and in different ways. The goal is to ensure that each student has equal access to the curriculum in a caring, supportive environment. Every student is encouraged to be a creative and critical thinker as a member of the school and the global community. Our teachers maintain a school environment that values all learners and fosters academic success. Student Support Services personnel work in collaboration to serve the whole school community. Optimal Learning specialists, English Language Learning teachers, general education teachers, nurses, counselors, and a school psychologist provide a range of services aimed at facilitating students’ success in the school’s core educational program. To effectively advocate for students and families, the support services team is flexible, responding as needed to student and community concerns. They communicate in a respectful and ethical manner, following a set of procedures that are outlined and accessible to the school community.
