School Tuition and Fees 2010/2011
- Application Fee: One-time payment , non-refundable of R$ 315,00

- Entrance Fee: This one-time fee is payable when the student registers. The cost is R$28.350,00 for the first child and a 25% discount for every sibling. This fee can be paid also in four yearly installments of R$ 7.088,00; the first payment upon entry plus three annual installments during the following three years. These installments are subject to any readjustment of the Entrance Fee, which may be applied by the school, but would not be subject to any finance or interest charges. Families opting for paying in installments must have the RNE/RG and the CPF tax id number.
- Note: In High School the number of installments will depend on the number of the years that the student will remain in the school. If the student checks-out, the remaining installments will be due at that time.
A student that has left Graded who re-enrolls within a period of two academic school years from date of withdrawal does not have to pay t he Entrance Fee again. However, there is a re-enrollment fee of R$1.500,00 per student.
- Entrance Fee to guarantee admissions:
The Entrance Fee should be paid within a few weeks of a space being offered.
- Entrance Fee for students sponsored by Corporations/Consulates: The full payment of the Entrance Fee generates a credit for a maximum of three years. This means that, if the student leaves the school before the end of three years, there will remain a pro-rated credit for a new student to enroll in the school, who is sponsored by the parent’s employer. This credit is applied on a one-to-one, student-to-student basis, it is not cumulative.
- Payments are as follows:
a) Grades K2 – 9th :Full payment upon registration.
b) Students entering Grade 10: 25% discount of the Entrance Fee
c) Students entering Grade 11: 50% discount of the Entrance Fee
d) Students entering Grade 12: 75% discount of the Entrance Fee. - Tuition Fee: July 2010 through June 2011 paid on a monthly basis (12x).

* Graded's fiscal year starts in July. New students enrolling are responsible for the tuition of the month entering and for the previous months of the current quarter. Students checking-out are also responsible for the tuition during the check-out quarter, as well as, any unpaid bills or tuition. The fiscal quarters are (July/Aug/Sept), (Oct/Nov/Dec), (Jan/Feb/March), (April/May/June).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
(2010/2011 School Year)
Although your tuition will cover most books and school materials, as well as lunch, there are several activities, special classes and materials that will require a separate fee. These activities and materials are listed below. Costs for materials or activities are subject to change.
After School Activities - (Grades 1-5)
A semester outline of activities available from 3:15 - 4:00 p.m., with charges, is provided at the start of each semester.
Field trips
There are times when costs for a field trip may be passed on to parents. Each school division has a pre-established budget for field trips, which usually offset most costs.
In-Loco Program – (Grades 9 – 12)
Mandatory component of the academic program paid additionally to the monthly tuition.
Additional texts - (Grades 6-12)
Several school texts are purchased by students to use for reference over the years and to take notes for study purposes and class discussion.
Testing Services
There will be a fee charged for testing services provided by the Optimal Learning Center. These are as follows:
- Full testing ............... R$ 1.340,00
- Follow-up testing ..... R$ 673,00
Private tutoring services, which must be conducted off campus, are private matters between parents and tutors and Graded is unable to facilitate such arrangements.
